About the event

Join us for an evening of art and conversation, showcasing the talent of local artists! We will feature a short story reading by author Lori Torone and a percussions performance by Nathaniel Aguilar.


Lori J. Torone is a speculative fiction writer and an adjunct professor of English and Communication Studies. Her work has appeared in Podcastle: The Fantasy Fiction Podcast, as well as the anthologies Museum Piece: An Unusual Collection and 99 Fleeting Fantasies. She is a member of SFWA and a 2024 finalist for the Speculative Literature Foundation's Older Writers Grant. Lori is currently in the submission process for her novel.


Nathaniel Aguilar is a multi-instrumentalist performer, composer and educator based in the Queens area. A versatile and dynamic musician known for his extraordinary talent in both vibraphone, piano. and percussion.
